Privacy policy

Written and kept accurate by the person who runs the server.

What is stored

  • Files you upload — the media itself, thumbnails and small animated previews made from it, and a content fingerprint used to recognise duplicates.
  • Descriptions and tags — written by people, or generated by an AI model on our own hardware. You can edit or delete them.
  • Your account — username, display name, a password hash (never the password), an optional email, and, if you use Google sign-in, Google's stable ID for your account. Never your Google password.
  • A security log — sign-ins and failed attempts, account changes, invites, deletions, and link creation or revocation, with when and by whom.

What is deliberately not stored

  • Searches. What you type into the palette is used to answer the search and is not recorded.
  • Browsing. No record of who looked at what.
  • Analytics. No trackers, no third-party scripts beyond Google's sign-in button on the pages that offer it.

Who sees what

  • Media uploaded to a shared collection is visible to every account, and to CarrotGPT, a bot that answers with reaction images.
  • Media in a private collection is visible to you alone.
  • A copied link is public to anyone who has it. The address is unguessable, and deleting the item revokes its links.
  • The security log is readable by the administrator only.

Where it lives

One server in a data centre, run by the administrator. There are currently no database backups. Nothing is sold, shared or sent to a third party; images are described and tagged by AI models running on hardware we control, not by a cloud service.

Deleting things

Deleting an item removes it from search and revokes its links immediately. The stored file itself is kept: files are addressed by their contents, so one file can be shared by several items and deleting it would take somebody else's item with it. To have the file erased as well, or your whole account removed, ask the administrator.

This service is run for friends, not as a business. If any of this is wrong or unclear, say so and it will be fixed.
